    Who is this program for?

    An Advanced Degree for Certified Teachers

    The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction is designed for certified teachers and individuals who are interested in researching, developing and implementing curriculum changes to support student achievement in K-12 Education. This program allows students to focus on curriculum methodology, pedagogy, and theoretical applications and how to apply these to the classroom. The degree program requires 36 hours of graduate coursework.

    Admission Standards

    Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 undergraduate semester hours of work prior to receiving the bachelor’s degree, or an overall 2.8 GPA on all undergraduate work.  Applicants with a completed master's degree must have at least a 3.4 GPA on the graduate coursework.

    Complete an Apply Texas for Graduate Programs with a $50.00 non-refundable application fee. Send your offical transcripts verifying you meet the GPA requirements above to:

    Beyond providing an opportunity for lifelong learning, the Masters of Education, Curriculum & Instruction can support certified teachers in advancing their career into roles such as district-level curriculum developer, mentor teacher, teacher leader, content specialist, and dual-credit/community college instructor.
