Learn MoreStudent responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing for your advising appointment
- Completing course enrollment by logging onto MyUNTD or using the Visual Schedule Builder
- Compliance with university catalog policies and requirements
- Satisfactory completion of all 'in progress' course work
- Notifying your college of major/degree/catalog year changes
- Meeting all course/sequence prerequisites
- Submitting official transcripts of all transfer work
- Applying for graduation during your final semester by the deadline listed in the academic calendar
- Meeting all graduation requirements as listed in the university academic catalog

Advisor Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance in course selection
- Assist you in setting and reaching achievable academic and career goals aligned with your interests, strengths, and individual needs
- Empower students to take responsibility for their academic success
- Help you understand university policies, procedures, and requirements
- Offer a supportive, respectful, and confidential setting for asking questions and sharing concerns
- Provide assistance with course mapping for a four-year degree plan
- Provide students with information and referrals to other campus resources as needed

Peak Advising Times
Peak advising times are from October to Mid-November and March to Mid-April. This means meeting with an Advisor will be in high demand. Students who cannot find an advising appointment are encourage to check back weekly for new Advisor availability.
NOTE: Advisors are heavily involved in summer orientation programs from Mid-May to Mid-August, so they have limited advising hours over the summer.
